Rodney Darwin
Rodney Darwin was initially educated at the Savoy Hotel & training school in London England followed by additional studies at Cornell Hotel School in Ithaca, New York.   Darwin has substantial international senior executive and corporate hotel management experience in a wide range of deluxe and 1st class hotels in Europe, North America, Asia and Australasia.
Since 1990 he has lived and worked in China, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong. His business experiences cover hotel and resort development (start-ups), operations management, including ski-golf resorts, deluxe desert island resorts, business, leisure hotels and a convention centre in Macau.   In 1998 and subsequent to working in Indonesia he joined the Hospitality consulting arm of the US based PricewaterhouseCoopers as regional Director Hospitality South East Asia, located in Singapore. Darwin has worked on a wide range of projects from operational reviews of a major international hotel chain, to the development of hotels, resorts and a casino complex, and has consulted with and for Government Tourism Organizations in Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore. His other consulting experience includes moderating a management-employment relationship development program for an international deluxe hotel company as well as evaluating product enhancement opportunities–training needs based on a Silent Shopper program.   Darwin was the opening General Manager of the Pantages suites hotel & Spa and the Cosmopolitan Toronto, two successful Boutique hotels located in the downtown core.
